Creating a Giveaway

A giveaway enables the free distribution of NFTs directly to Open Loot users. Please contact your Open Loot representative to begin the process of creating a giveaway. The logic of the giveaway is as follows:

  1. During the signup window, Open Loot users can signup to be a part of the Giveaway event.
  2. (optional) If you provide a Discord link, the users will be required to join your Discord server in order to complete their signup.
  3. Once the signup window closes, the NFTs marked for giveaway will be randomly distributed to the users on the list. If there are 1,000 units of an NFT available, and 5,000 users who have signed up, then 20% of the users will be chosen at random to receive a unit of that NFT. If there are 1,000 units of an NFT available, and 500 users who have signed up, then 100% of the users will receive an item, and the remaining NFTs left over will be returned to the supply.
  4. If a giveaway is set to distribute multiple items, each NFT giveaway is done in parallel. A user can receive a maximum of 1 item of each NFT listed.

You will be expected to provide the following information:

Giveaway Details

  • Game: The game that the NFTs are associated with.

  • Giveaway Name: The name of the giveaway to be displayed on the giveaway page.

  • Giveaway Start Date and Time: The date and time that this giveaway becomes open for users to being signups. Prior to this start date, a clock will be displayed that counts down to this date and time.

  • Giveaway End Date and Time: The date and time that this giveaway closes for signups. Once the giveaway has started, a clock will be displayed that counts down to this date and time. Once the signups have closed, the NFTs will be distributed.

  • Giveaway Description: The description of the giveaway to be displayed on the giveaway page. Accepts markdown format, no character limit. It should include information such as:

    • Basic description of game
    • Basic description of NFTs in the Giveaway
    • Any other information relevant to users
  • Discord Server Link (optional): If users are required to join your Discord server in order to receive the free NFT(s), please enter the desired Discord server URL you want them to join.

  • Discord Server ID (optional): If users are required to join your Discord server in order to receive the free NFT(s), please enter the server ID of the Discord server you want them to join.

  • Discord Server Bot (optional): If users are required to join your Discord server in order to receive the free NFT(s), please install this bot onto your Discord server: link.

  • Twitch Account Link (optional): If users are required to follow a Twitch account in order to receive the free item(s), please enter the desired Twitch account link (i.e. https://www.twitch.tv/bigtimestudios). You can request multiple Twitch accounts.

  • Twitter Account Handle (optional): If users are required to follow a Twitter account in order to receive the free item(s), please enter the desired Twitter handle. You can request multiple Twitter accounts. Unlike the Discord and Twitch requirements, the Twitter follow requirement is not strictly enforced.

  • NFTs for Giveaway: The list of pre-minted NFTs to be associated with this sale. For each NFT:

    • NFT Descriptive Identifier: The NFT descriptive identifier, as defined during the pre-minting process, also referred to as the Option Name.
    • Total Supply available for giveaway: The amount of issue numbers from this NFT that have been made available for this giveaway. This is not the max issuance of NFTs to be pre-minted. This is only the amount within the max issuance that you want to make available to distribute during this giveaway.

Giveaway Images

  • Front Door Hero Image: This image is displayed on the front door of Open Loot. You can view this Figma file for the template. The game logo and text are added on the Open Loot side, all you need to provide is the background. You can provide these as .png files, but providing the layered .psd is always helpful if we need to make adjustments on our end.
    • Desktop Version: This image's dimensions are 1920px by 720 px.
    • Mobile Version: This image's dimensions are 375px by 550px.
    • Title: This is the title text displayed on the hero image, typically the name of the sale
    • Body Text: This is the text displayed on the hero image beneath the title, typically a shortened version of the sale description.
